In 1974, Jack Kirby wrote the scripts, drew the pencils, and created the cover art for OMAC #1. This comic book marked the first appearance and origin story of OMAC, also known as Buddy Blank. The Global Peace Agency selected Buddy Blank, an employee of Pseudo-People, Inc., to be a candidate for Project OMAC. Leading scientist Doctor Myron Forest developed a process that linked Buddy Blank with the satellite network called Brother Eye. Through this connection, Brother Eye could remotely send energy and data to transform Buddy Blank into OMAC, the One-Man-Army-Corps.
